The world famous museum has announced plans for stage two of its much anticipated £78m Darwin Centre development. The new venue will have 16,000 square metres of floor spacing, and head of events and catering Zoe Watts said “The Darwin Centre will provide a bright, modern events space to complement the historic architecture.”

The centre is designed to handle 150 guests for dinner, and 300 guests for a cocktail reception, while having the luxury of a landscaped garden for outdoor events. The whole development will be a distinctive 65 metre long cocoon, made from sprayed concrete which will certainly turn heads if nothing else.
