Queuing for an Ipad?Posted: June 10th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets | Tags: Luxury | No Comments »
Have you got an iPad yet? I must admit I didn’t think Apple’s latest device would be as popular as it is, with stores sold out throughout the UK.
At the recent Apple convention, Steve Jobs reiterated that over two million iPads have been sold since its April launch (in the US), which amounted to one being sold every three seconds. He also said that in 65 days, users had downloaded over five million books equaling two and a half books per device.
It can’t be long before a range of promotional products become available for the new iPad, and when they do, the friendly team here at Gift Selection & Gadgets2order will be the first to offer them.
Don’t forget we can currently supply a great range of high tech promotional products, that are ideal for bringing your brand into the 21st century. |
Apple defend conditions at iPhone factory.Posted: June 4th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets | Tags: Ethical, Luxury, Watchdogs | No Comments »Apple head honchos Steve Jobs has defended conditions at their Tai factory that produces the firm’s popular iPhone, following a string of thirteen suicides and attempted suicides. The deaths have shone a spotlight on working conditions at the factory, where workers - often from rural China - work up to 12 hours a day, six days a week. But Mr Jobs defended the conditions; “You go in this place and it’s a factory but, my gosh, they’ve got restaurants and movie theatres and hospitals and swimming pools. For a factory, it’s pretty nice,” he said. If you are concerned about the sourcing of USB memory chips, or any other electrical components that we sell here at Gift Selection or Gadgets2order, then rest assured that all our promotional products meet environmental and ethical standards. |

Order Wood USB DrivesPosted: June 10th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Eco Gifts, Promotional USB Gadgets | Tags: Luxury | No Comments »
We’ve been having a fair bit of interest in eco friendly promotional flash-drives recently, with the relatively new wooden models proving to be of particular interest. Wooden promotional USB drives from ecoproducts2order come in all shapes, sizes and tones. If you want a quote on a wooden promotional flashdrive, contact their friendly team but don’t forget to mention what memory size you require. If you’re unsure what is best, the most common option is to have a 1Gb memory. With all promotional USB flashdrives, memory sizes start at around 512mb working its way up to around 8Gb. If you don’t mention what memory size you require or your unsure, they will usually quote you at a 1gb size. If high tech matters aren’t your strength, don’t be afraid of asking what memory size would best suit the purpose of your promotion - as the staff will be happy to help. Alternative eco friendly materials to wood are; bamboo, recycled plastic or may personal favourite – recycled paper! These eco flash drives can be printed, but I think they can often look better engraved. Like branding any promotional item, it all comes down to personal taste and what artwork you’re working with. As I say, do get in contact if you have any questions at all regarding branding techniques. |
Parker Vector PensPosted: May 5th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Pens | Tags: Luxury, Parker | No Comments »Parker pens have long been a firm favourite in the promotional products industry, with the Parker Vector proving to be particularly popular. The promotional Parker Vector is hardly a new kid on the block, as the precursor was introduced in 1981. This roller-ball pen had a simple cylindrical plastic cap and barrel, and was named the ‘Parker RB1’. The RB1 stands for simply “Rollerball 1″. In 1984 Parker decided it was time to make an addition, with the FP1 (you guessed it Fountain Pen 1), which had essentially the same design as the RB1 except having a the nib section rather than a rollerball. The RB1 and FP1 models were produced up until 1986 when Parker updated the popular pen. These revised pens had a longer cap and a shorter barrel, and renaming the new pen the “Vector Standard”. Currently there are four standard models available, each in plastic and steel respectively. This promotional pen range consists of; fountain pen, capped rollerball, pushbutton ballpoint, and a pushbutton pencil. All promotional Parker Vectors feature a design that is clean and simple, with a basic cylinder shape with a plain cutout version of the famous Parker Arrow clip. If your business is looking to invest in some quality promotional Vector pens, then pens2order is a leading supplier who can help you out. Give their friendly team a call, if you have any questions at all about promotional Parker Vector pens. |
Parker Pens!Posted: April 20th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Pens | Tags: History Lessons, Luxury | No Comments »Whether printed or engraved, pens are a staple of the promotional products industry. Probably the most popular supplier of them all is the ‘The Parker Pen Company’. Mr. George Safford Parker was awarded his first fountain pen patent in 1889, and two years later founded Parker pens. His original patent was actually for his ‘Lucky Curve’ feed, which was designed to draw ink back into the body of the pen, when one wasn’t using it. This Lucky Curve feed was a revelation, and was used in various forms until 1928. Before the development of the ballpoint pen, from the 1920’s to the 1960s, Parker was always either the number one or two producer of pens around the world. In 1931 Parker really developed their fountain pens, when they created ‘Quink’ – quick drying ink. This practical development took away the need for blotting, and made fountain pens extremely popular. Fountain pens are still popular luxury promotional products, as they have a real style and elegance to them. A modern promotional fountain pen that would certainly make an impressive corporate gift is the Parker latitude fountain. However this pen is just a personal favourite, as pens2order.com can source any promotional fountain pen you like. They are promotional pen experts, so give their friendly team a call if you have any enquiries. |
Boynq Promotional Items.Posted: April 9th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets | Tags: Luxury | No Comments »If you’re in the market for some promotional speakers, but are looking for something distinctive then the Boynq designer range of promotional gadgets is well worth a look. All printed promotional Boynq products are focused around unique contemporary design. Boynq are a relatively new manufacture of promotional gadgets, but they are becoming rapidly recognised throughout the world. My personal favourite Boynq item is the unique USB Vase speaker, which would loo great on any contemporary desktop. For those who obsess over the details in their promotional gadgets, they won’t be disappointed by the Boynq range. A nice touch is that ’swivel button technology’ has been incorporated into the exterior curves, allowing the user to adjust the treble and bass outputs with a simple twist action. |
