A Quick History Lesson

The most popular promotional product around is the humble branded ballpoint pen. But how did the branded “Biro” come about in the first place?

The household name actually comes from the inventor itself, it was in 1938 that the Hungarian, Lazio Jozsef Biro, developed today’s familiar Biro. However this high tech pen for it day, only took off when Henry George Martin (a British businessman), acquired the patent rights and created the first ballpoint pen factory.
