Personalised Phone GadgetsPosted: July 13th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets, Promotional USB Gadgets | No Comments »
More than a billion mobile phone connections have been added to the global tally in just 18 months, according to Wireless Intelligence; bringing the world wide total to more than five billion connections. In many regions, penetration exceeds 100%, where there is more than one connection per person in the country. Ben Wood, mobile phone analyst at CCS Insight said the mobile phone may be “the most prolific consumer device on the planet”. “If you just take the UK in 1987, when the first mobile companies launched, an industry insider predicted a maximum of 10,000 phones…Now almost every adult, child and domestic pet seems to have one, given that 30 million phones are sold every year in the UK,” he said. With so many of the things, using promotional mobile phone accessories as upmarket marketing tools may not be a bad idea. Gift Selection in conjunction with Gadgets2order can supply practically any personalised phone accessory you can think off. In their new brochure you will find a branded iPhone case, this plastic hard case can have a full colour print, with a great print area to maximise your design. Another new product is the ‘G Dock’, which is manufactured from recycled cardboard and combines the functionality of a multi-purpose docking station or phone stand with a large 4 colour process for advertising space. My favourite ‘up market’ gadget is a ‘grippy’ phone holder which is suitable for al mobiles; it has an integral card reader/USB hub and charging adapters for iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia and Sony Erikson phones. Queuing for an Ipad?Posted: June 10th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets | Tags: Luxury | No Comments »
Have you got an iPad yet? I must admit I didn’t think Apple’s latest device would be as popular as it is, with stores sold out throughout the UK.
At the recent Apple convention, Steve Jobs reiterated that over two million iPads have been sold since its April launch (in the US), which amounted to one being sold every three seconds. He also said that in 65 days, users had downloaded over five million books equaling two and a half books per device.
It can’t be long before a range of promotional products become available for the new iPad, and when they do, the friendly team here at Gift Selection & Gadgets2order will be the first to offer them.
Don’t forget we can currently supply a great range of high tech promotional products, that are ideal for bringing your brand into the 21st century. |
Apple defend conditions at iPhone factory.Posted: June 4th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets | Tags: Ethical, Luxury, Watchdogs | No Comments »Apple head honchos Steve Jobs has defended conditions at their Tai factory that produces the firm’s popular iPhone, following a string of thirteen suicides and attempted suicides. The deaths have shone a spotlight on working conditions at the factory, where workers - often from rural China - work up to 12 hours a day, six days a week. But Mr Jobs defended the conditions; “You go in this place and it’s a factory but, my gosh, they’ve got restaurants and movie theatres and hospitals and swimming pools. For a factory, it’s pretty nice,” he said. If you are concerned about the sourcing of USB memory chips, or any other electrical components that we sell here at Gift Selection or Gadgets2order, then rest assured that all our promotional products meet environmental and ethical standards. |
Branded Phone AccessoriesPosted: May 14th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets | Tags: Fun | No Comments »If you’re one of those people who has their phone permanently in their hand, or some hands free nonsense in their ear, then David Cameron won’t want you in his new Cabinet.
Members of David Cameron’s new cabinet have been banned from having their mobile phones and Blackberrys with them during meetings. The prime minister told them the rule at their first gathering on Thursday. There was laughter in the room when Mr Cameron had to call Justice Secretary Ken Clarke to attention, as he was still engaged in another conversation.
Quite right too that’s what I say! These people are running the country, you want them paying attention to what’s going on, not updating them bloody Twitter page mid meeting. “Yeah sorry Dave I was just downloading a new App”. Put your phone away man that’s what I say!
Anyway if you do love your phone, you’ll love the range of promotional mobile phone items available from Gift Selection. People have a real affinity with their phones, which in turn can make relating promotional items very popular. If you’re looking for promotional skins for phones, promotional phone charms, promotional phone docks even, then you know who to call. |
Data Protection LawsPosted: March 31st, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets, Printed Office Items, Promotional USB Gadgets | No Comments »
Branded USBs are a big seller in the promotional products world, I’d be prepared to bet you have one yourself in your home. In the cut through, hard nosed, corporate world, USBS have in some cases become a victim of their own success. How many USBs or even computers has organisation lost in the last year? It should probably be more of a concern then you think.
Sanctions for non-compliance with data protection laws, will be clamping down on lax organisations this month. The Information Commissioner’s Office can levy fines of up to £500k for series data security breaches e.g. failing to encrypt data on portable devices. Watch out, they can also conduct audits on whether data processing complies with best practise and issue enforcement notices. Employers must have appropriate security systems in place, with consistent processes for sharing sensitive information!
As well as supply promotional USB sticks, Gift Selection can supply a range of extra secure USBs, designed to be used with particular sensitive date. If you need a branded USB with a number lock on, or even one with finger print recognition technology – you know who to call. |

We love personalised gifts here, and we can (given the time and money) supply practically any personalised item you can think of.
One promotion that we came across is Apple’s own iTunes gift cards. Their new system features on its Facebook fan page that allows US users to create their own iTunes gift cards and send them digitally to friends through Facebook or email. To create an iTunes gift card, one simply picks from one of six different templates, and then choose how much cash they would like to put on the gift card, from $5 to $50, and enter the name of the recipient, using their email address or their Facebook link.
Additionally users can customise the card with a personal message and select when it should be sent, with the option of delivering it straight away or on a particular day. The lucky recipient receives their iTunes gift card as a post to their Facebook Wall and can instantly redeem it on the iTunes Store.

Corporate Health CampaignPosted: July 2nd, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets | Tags: Health | No Comments »In a well meaning but perhaps over zealous health campaign, Nestle’s London office has prescribed its staff to take ‘walking meetings’ and water, rather boardroom meetings and after-work booze.
With their promotional company pedometers and an aim of 4000 steps a day, 600 member of staff are supporting the firm’s attempt to win the world’s healthiest headquarters in a global challenge. Seems somewhat ironic that a business selling snacks high in saturated fats, has taken such a paternal position with its employees.
Anyway, customer service support worker Mark Eggington told London’s Evening Standard: “When we attend meetings, we try to fit walking into them, so we go to the park and walk as we talk instead of sitting in a pub and having a drink”.
If you feel inspired to follow suit, Gift Selection can supply a range of printed promotional pedometers. Low cost printed promotional pedometers can offer superb value for money, while there is also a range of high-tech models too. For those really wanting to make an effort they can supply branded pedometers with calorie counters. Or you might prefer a promotional pedometer with an in built radio and headphones…
Whatever sort of branded pedometer you require, the friendly team at Gift Selection will be able to have a branding solution. |
Boynq Promotional Items.Posted: April 9th, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: Printed Gadgets | Tags: Luxury | No Comments »If you’re in the market for some promotional speakers, but are looking for something distinctive then the Boynq designer range of promotional gadgets is well worth a look. All printed promotional Boynq products are focused around unique contemporary design. Boynq are a relatively new manufacture of promotional gadgets, but they are becoming rapidly recognised throughout the world. My personal favourite Boynq item is the unique USB Vase speaker, which would loo great on any contemporary desktop. For those who obsess over the details in their promotional gadgets, they won’t be disappointed by the Boynq range. A nice touch is that ’swivel button technology’ has been incorporated into the exterior curves, allowing the user to adjust the treble and bass outputs with a simple twist action. |
